Chicago quintet The Academy Is… will release their brilliant new album ‘Santi’ on April 2nd through Fueled By Ramen/Atlantic Records with their single ‘We’ve Got A Big Mess On Our Hands’ coming out on Download on March 19th and limited edition 7” vinyl on April 16th.
‘Santi’ was produced by Butch Walker and sees a major leap forward for the band, in terms of artistic vision and sonic strength. The unstoppable hooks and huge melodies combine a raw yet rich and complex sound, catapulting The Academy Is… to the front of the modern American rock scene.
The band formed in 2002 and toured non-stop sharing stages with the likes of Fall Out Boy, All-American Rejects and Motion City Soundtrack before touring last year with Hellogoodbye and the all conquering Panic! At The Disco with their unique brand of rock. With a fanbase that is growing daily, The Academy Is… wowed people on last year’s Vans Warped Tour and worked on their new record.
