Enter Shikari are the band on everyone’s lips at the moment with their huge fanbase and increasingly popular MySpace page. With the least played of the band’s original demos getting over 300,000 plays alone, they are a band you can’t help but sit up and take notice of.
The band – Rou Reynolds [vocals], Chris Batten [Bass], Rory Clewlow [Guitar] and Rob Rolfe [drums] – did their business the old fashioned way, getting into a van and going out on the road as soon as they were formed in 2003. After honing their sound and live show in such a public way, they often look out on the sea of faces who are busy forming a human pyramid in the middle of the set whilst the band spend all their money on lasers for their gigs.
‘Take To The Skies’ is as original sounding an album as you’re going to get, mixing the worlds of rave and hardcore and has seen them go on to support the likes of Faithless, 36 Crazyfists, The Prodigy and Comeback Kid.
