Win Gym Class Heros album!

Gym Class Heroes are released the single ‘New Friend Request’ through Decaydance/Fueled By Ramen in the UK on October 23rd lifted from the album ‘As Cruel As School Children’ released on September 4th. Breaking musical boundaries and changing perceptions of what hip-hop or indie or rock can be, the overall feel of their album ‘As Cruel As School Children’ is bright and breezy, with songs like the witty MySpace anthem, New Friend Request exploding out of the speakers with a rollicking sonic irreverence ideally suited for the hazy days and hot nights of summer.

Rightly recognized as true pioneers of live hip-hop, the Geneva, NY-based band Gym Class Heroes has won popular and critical acclaim for kicking out genre-busting jams that seamlessly meld rap, rock, R&B, and anything else that happens to strike the musically voracious outfit’s fancy. Gym Class Heroes have spent much of the last two years doing what they do best – playing live. They have headlined sold out dates, and toured the rock world with acts like Fall Out Boy and the Warped tour, as well as taking a firm stance in the indie hip hop circuit, constantly out there bringing their unique hip-hop vision to new fans. They recently completed a headline tour of the UK, and are currently on the road in the US with Cobra Starship. They will be back in the UK in January 2007.
