Snakes on a Plane - Gym Class Heros

The official Snakes On A Plane soundtrack is released this month on August 14th featuring many different alternative acts such as Panic! At The Disco, Fallout Boy, All-American Rejects, Coheed and Cambria, The Bronx, The Academy Is, and Gym Class Heroes alongside many more. Following the album will be the release of the catchy lead single, ‘Snakes On A Plane (Bring It)’ by dance-punk sensation Cobra Starship (a.k.a Gabe Saporta of emo-punk stalwarts Midtown) on September 18. This riff-tastic track features guest appearances from assorted rock royalty such as the Sounds’ Maja Ivarsson, William Beckett of The Academy Is…and Gym Class Heroes MC Travis McCoy.

The singer also celebrates the release of the Gym Class Heroes single ‘The Queen and I’ out on August 28th released on Decaydance/Fuelled by Ramen which sees the band fuse hip hop and rock together to create a fantastic original sound. The album ‘As Cruel As School Children’ is marked by it’s diverse grooves and warm organic textures and exudes the confidence and voracious musical appetite of a band that has won both popular and critical acclaim with their ability to seamlessly blend rap and rock. “Our music is rooted in hip-hop,” explains McCoy, “but not restricted to it.” In fact, crucial to the album’s buoyant sound, was their mutual love for the funk-flavoured mainstream R&B of the 80’s a la Prince with a cool edge.
